Professor of Econometric (Statistics, Mathematics and Economic Theory)
|Prof. Majeed Hussain is a full Professor of Econometrics earned his PhD (1988) in Econometrics from University of Keele, United Kingdom. He has a master’s degree in Economics from Keele University, United Kingdom and B.A in Statistics and economic planning from Mosul University in Iraq.
Prof.Majeed lectures Principles of Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Statistical Analysis, and Quantitative Methods for Business and Managerial Economics and others of Undergraduate. Feasibility studies to undergraduate and executive students. He also lectures of Quantitative and statistical Analysis, Managerial economics, Econometrics of Graduate program.
Prof.Majeed despite his commitment to teaching, he has always been active in research and other scholarly activities. His research interests and publications revolve around the areas of Quantitative Methods, and Statistical Analysis, also focus in the areas of narrow specification: Econometrics. Prof.Majeed experience using software statistical packages such as SPSS, MINITAB, EVIEWS for econometrics, QM for Windows, Stata, R software and MegaStat. He published over fifty papers in Journal and attend many internal conferences His research articles have appeared in peer-reviewed international journals.
Through his professorial role, Prof. Majeed became skilled in progressively and effectively communicating concepts and ideas to student and peer audiences. Additionally, he assisted students in the selection and registration of courses and provided academic guidance. Through his involvement in numerous committees responsible for the revision and adjustment of the curriculums, conducting staff evaluations, Deputy Dean, MBA Program Director, Head of Economic, Management and Accounting Department in different university in the Arab worlds, and Follow up of all campuses at Ajman University and many other ventures; he has reached out to students as well as other faculty members as an active part of the academic community.
